Social Media & Marketing Assistant

We’re a small but mighty team that loves building into our interns passions and skills – giving you career and skills-coaching on a weekly basis, as well as the opportunity to really build into an organization where your voice is valuable and your ideas are needed. THE ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES: As a Social Media & Marketing Assistant, you will be working within our small, but high-impact team. Under the guidance and in weekly 1:1’s with the Marketing Lead, you are a rockstar that loves crafting engaging copy, telling stories, creating new content and crossing off tasks. Since our organization is involved in entrepreneurship, marketing and business, your goal is to engage and promote the awareness of BAM Canada AND GlobalWorks’ brand, initiatives and programs. Some areas you will be involved in:

• LinkedIn content creation & graphic design
• Strategy and analytics
• Website design
• Copywriting & blog writing

Knowledge and previous volunteer/work experience in content creation, graphic design and copywriting (Canva, Squarespace, LinkedIn etc.) is highly recommended. We use Asana for all things project management, and Microsoft Teams for communication.

INTERESTED IN APPLYING FOR OUR INTERNSHIP? The internship starts January 8, 2024 and will be completed by April 12, 2024. We are aware that 120 hours are needed for the Redeemer Internship credit. This typically equals to either 10 hours/week for the semester. But if you aren’t doing this internship for credit, we can set you up with 5-8 hours/week that will gain you meaningful work experience.
