CIC offers the Total Care Education System to support students to achieve their goal of getting into a post-secondary institution of their choice. Our Total Care Education provides services that can support international students to meet their Academic, Social, Emotional and Physical needs.
This position provides support for international students requiring administrative assistance required to study in Canada. It is an administrative role within the Admissions and Liaison department which requires excellent customer service and time management skills.
Duties and Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to):
· Respond to inquiries from prospective applicants/parents/agents via email, phone, video conference, or in-person meetings and inform them of the application process
· Review and process applications, and guide applicants/parents/agents through the admissions process
· Under the guidance of the Recruitment & Partnership Manager, manage and develop opportunities with schools and agencies to recruit students
· Attend virtual or in-person meetings, seminars, or educational fairs to promote the school
· Organize or participate in marketing activities and events
· Participate in planning, promotion, coordination, and implementation of the Summer Camp and Short-Term programs
· Serve as the primary point and coordinate communications among students, parents, agents, and school departments
· Coordinate and communicate airport transportation between students/parents/agents and CIC transportation staff
· Translate communications, policies, brochures, and other materials as needed for parents, students, and agencies
· Support students with cultural adaptation and academic transition, referring complex personal or academic issues to appropriate staff
· Assist with event planning and implementation for various events throughout the year (placement tests, regional meeting, orientation, parents meeting, open house, delegation visits, graduation ceremony, etc.)
· Conduct in-person or virtual campus tours with visitors
· Liaise with third-party vendors when necessary
· Perform other duties assigned by the Recruitment & Partnership Manager
Qualifications:
Professional proficiency (written and spoken) in both Spanish and Portuguese.
Post-Secondary degree / diploma in a related field, or equivalent training and work experience
Demonstrated customer service experience in a high-volume, multi-channel environment (phone, email, in-person).
Strong understanding of study permit application process, as well as Immigration Canada’s policies and procedures
Microsoft Office Suite applications
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with deadlines and competing priorities
Experience working in an international environment
Experience in an academic setting is an asset
Hours of Work:
Regular business hours
Flexible hours are required, including occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays, with advance notice where possible
