SUMMARY
The Digital Media Producer will refine and strategically leverage our multimedia marketing assets. Through the creation of impactful multi-genre video content, the Digital Media Producer will connect with a diverse Canadian audience, stimulating interest that transforms into qualified leads and contributes to supporter growth. This role goes beyond mere production; it’s about crafting media assets that resonate, engage, and motivate, all in alignment with our mission of expanding digital reach.
Reporting to the Manager of Social Media & Creative, the Digital Media Producer will be part of the Digital Marketing & Experience (DMX) department, where the focus is on driving digital growth and mass reach across Canada. This role will be instrumental in steering the DMX department toward this multifaceted goal, harmonizing creativity with strategy, and execution with excellence.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create and edit compelling promotional video content for campaigns, social media spots, and digital ads.
- Adhere to brand guidelines, delivering video content across multiple platforms.
- Translate and execute concepts, collaborating with creatives and other professionals.
- Develop creative concept ideas with a focus on visual storytelling.
- Understand marketing objectives and implement efficient production strategies.
- Stay adaptable to digital cultural trends, social platforms, and content formats.
- Comply with copyright regulations and maintain effective cross-disciplinary collaboration.
- Keep stakeholders informed, executing revisions as required.
- Optimize, tag, and classify video content for SEO, tracking performance analytics.
- Perform competitor analysis, capitalize on strategic opportunities, and support new/emerging strategies to promote the brand on platforms like YouTube, Instagram and TikTok.
- Assists the department/team with other duties as requested.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Detail oriented, deadline driven, with a strong action bias.
- Self-directed with ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- A creative thinker willing to give and receive constructive feedback on any project in development.
- Solution-oriented, identifying and working with others to explore and find ways to enhance Compassion Canada’s impact.
- Production knowledge, including graphic design, shooting, and software like After Effects and Premier.
- Understanding and usage of social platforms, content formats, and copyright regulations.
- Fluency in Adobe Premier, Creative Cloud, Canva, and Figma; Asana experience ideal.
EXPERIENCE & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- At least two (2) years’ experience in digital design and video production.
- Skilled in visual storytelling; portfolio required.
INITIATIVE REQUIRED
- To be self-motivated, proactive, disciplined, and able to work with a minimum of supervision.
