Introduction – Countryside Camp & Conference Center is looking for its next Executive Director. Due to
leadership retirement, Countryside is seeking a dynamic leader to fill the role of Executive Director.
Countryside Camp & Conference Center – Countryside is the summer home of Camp Shalom, and a robust
conference center ministry. For over 50 years Camp Shalom has been a meeting place for friends and family
to have fun and grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ. Camp Shalom strives to provide day camps and
overnight camps for kids and special support guests with fun and educational programming in a safe,
accepting and, above all, Christ-centered environment. The community of Camp Shalom and Countryside
Camp & Conference Centre are followers of Christ, and its ministries are evangelical, intent on bringing
people into relationship with Jesus Christ, biblical in their core ideology, and intentionally disciple believers
in their personal relationship with God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. Countryside is located south of
Cambridge, ON on 150 acres of beautiful rolling hills in North Dumfries Township.
The Role – The Executive Director is the visionary leader responsible for implementing the overall
management and strategic direction of Countryside Camp and Conference Centre, and through its three key
result areas: (i) Camp Shalom summer camp ministry (ii) rental ministry, and (iii) fundraising. The Executive
Director reports to the Board of Directors through the BOard President, and works closely with the
Operations Director, staff, and other volunteer committees to ensure (a) effective financial management, (b)
program deliverables, (c) operational efficiency, (d) facility development projects, (e) marketing,
communications and stakeholder engagement, and (e) corporate and regulatory compliance. The Executive
Director will embody and cast the brand and vision of CCCC and its evangelical mission.
Qualifications – The Executive Director will demonstrate Christian faith and values, and a passion for serving
others through ministry and outreach. Applicants should have demonstrable senior leadership skills
preferably in a Christian camping environment, and a good understanding of fundraising principles, and
strategy development and deployment.
Compensation – Countryside offers a market-competitive compensation package, including benefits,
pension, and optional on-site housing.
