Current Scientific Corporation is seeking a driven business leader to join their team as Director of Sales & Marketing.
Reporting directly to the President & CEO, the Director of Sales & Marketing will collaborate with various department team leads to drive business development initiatives, lead the sales team, and contribute to the overall strategic direction of the company.
This role will lead and manage a team, providing guidance, coaching, and support to maximize their potential while safeguarding both the integrity and reputation of the business. The Director of Sales & Marketing will also be responsible for developing and implementing effective sales strategies, building strong relationships with key clients across the globe, and ensuring the achievement of sales objectives.

WHO WE ARE
Current Corporation began in 1986 as a small electrical product distributor with big aspirations. Over the years, Current has repeatedly adapted its main product lines to accommodate the changing markets and consumer demand. In 1995, The Law Enforcement line originated with ITT Night Vision, which in turn led to other products over the years.
In 1998, a request was made by BC Ferries to develop a product for their high-speed craft. The system developed incorporated two of our products, the Night Vision camera and the Xenon Searchlight. The first sale of the Night Navigator was completed in 1999 and has taken Current into an explosive global market. Though our product has endured many modifications and upgrades, we are on our way to becoming the leading supplier of Marine Imaging Systems worldwide for high-speed craft.
From 1999 to 2003, the number of employees in the Port Moody office rose from four to fourteen. Along with a small branch office in Nanaimo, dealers for our Night Vision product are located in Australia, New Zealand, Norway, Spain, France, Greece, Italy, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, South Korea, the United States, Estonia, Kuwait, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Current Sales Corporation went bankrupt in early 2014 and the company was purchased by Greg Menzies, re-opening the doors in August 2014 as Current Scientific Corporation, and bringing back many core employees from the old company. Since then, Current has invested heavily in engineering to design a new full range of products to satisfy the market needs. We have continued to hire more and more staff to facilitate these designs and builds, and create demand for them worldwide. By Fall 2020, Current had 26 employees, and had just opened up an office in the Netherlands.

To develop, manufacture, and deploy Night Navigator™ camera systems that are able to sustain in more adverse weather conditions than any camera system today.
Current Corporation strives for the highest levels of customer and employee satisfaction, commitment to excellence, integrity, environmental stewardship, and a safe workplace.
8-10+ years of relevant experience in sales and marketing, with a focus on international sales and marketing.
Proven success in leading sales teams and driving revenue growth; especially internationally and in an export market setting.
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field, preferred.
Engineering, mechanical, or technical sales background, preferred.
National Defense, marine, or boating industry experience, an asset.
Strong business development acumen and a track record of identifying and capitalizing on new opportunities.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
