“Danyliw & Mann” is a preeminent boutique Canadian CPA firm specializing in accounting, tax and business management for the entertainment industry, with a focus on music.   You won’t find a lot about us on-line and that’s by design!  We are a referral only firm and do not publicly advertise.  We are located in Burlington, Ontario and provide business management & tax services to leading musicians, songwriters and producers across Canada and beyond.

Join an elite group of professionals that take care of the business behind the music scene.  This entry level position reports to senior associates and managers within the firm.  We are looking for an organized, personable, and reliable person who is willing to learn and has basic accounting, tax and financial skills.  We welcome those who work well with a team, like to learn, ask questions, and show up with a positive attitude. 

With support and guidance, you will work on:
·         Planning & accounting for live domestic and international touring, recording & publishing royalties and other aspects of client business
·         Cashflow planning
·         Insurance planning
·         Preparation of leadsheets, financial statements, Canadian tax returns (corporate and personal), supporting schedules and working papers
·         Preparation of Canadian and US tax slips
·         Reconciliations of bank, investment, and credit card accounts
·         Accounts receivable and accounts payable ledgers for clients
·         Cash disbursements and bank deposits
·         Prepare spreadsheets & analysis for various uses
·         Correspondence
·         Scanning and sorting records, maintaining client files

Requirements
·         Post secondary education in accounting or business administration or at least 5 years of related work experience
·         Personable, willing to learn and ask questions
·         Organized, reliable, and punctual
·         Integrity and ability to maintain client confidentiality is a must
·         Basic knowledge of accounting
·         Good analytical skills
·         Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook
·         Strong verbal and written communication
·         Ability to multitask and prioritize assignments
·         Knowledge of QuickBooks and Intuit Profile is an asset
·         Previous experience preparing tax returns including GST/HST, T4, T5, corporate and personal income tax returns is an asset
