Position focus: Welcome, encourage and equip youth to experience authentic community, deepening faith, and transformed lives. Be accessible, open and intentional in creating a safe space for youth to be themselves, share and ask questions. Recruit, train, and lead adult volunteers to come alongside students; plan and lead creative and exciting programs/events (Youth, Jr Teen, Summer Serve trips, Retreats); respond with care and love to students.
Works cooperatively with: Interim Pastor, Ministry Director, Administrative Assistant, Worship Planner
Primary Strengths Required: Christian character (love God and love others), leadership abilities (influencing others through service and for service), creativity (teaching Christian truths in relevant ways), relational (accessible and fun, worth talking to, able to listen without judging, come alongside) and able to work independently and as part of a staff team.
Essential Skills and Training
Education – ideally has taken courses at a Christian university and / or has equivalent experience
Proficiency in mobile apps, Microsoft office, social media
