In-Person Summer Camp

– Administrative and planning duties as assigned by Director

-Providing feedback on childrens’ progress and recommendations for ongoing development

-Daily tracking of camp activities

-Using provided programs and other sources to run activities that help children improve and practice their French reading, writing, and speaking abilities

– Supporting children in their French journey through daily positive encouragement

– Maintaining an organised and neat classroom

– Follow appropriate guidelines in working with campers, parents, and staff

– Inform the administrator directly in the event of an absence from the camp during hours of operation

– Adhere to expectations set in the Les Petites Pommes handbook

– Attend camp training sessions in June at a date to be determined (paid)

– Support the goals of Les Petites Pommes in growth and development

– Seek approval to purchase supplies and submit receipts to be reimbursed if required

– Follow camp Covid-19 Protocols

– Communicate over Slack app with Director and other counsellors

– Make reports to CAS within 1 week if you have reasonable grounds to suspect that a child is or may be in need of protection and report information to Director

Requirements:   First Aid certification, Vulnerable Sector Police Check, Bilingual – English & French, COVID Vaccinations, Match with Les Petites Pommes’ core values

Skills & Experience Teaching experience, Experience with children

Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal Contract length: 9 weeks Salary: $17.00-19.00 per hour

Casual dress  Schedule: 8 hour shift Monday to Friday No weekends COVID-19 considerations: Masking optional (encouraged for staff & children who are sick), confirmed vaccination of staff
