As a Pricing and Verification Analyst you are part of the structured settlement industry’s leading brokerage team. You are a numbers whiz, and have the ability to both understand difficult concepts and communicate those concepts to others. You thrive in fast-paced environments and don’t shy away from pressure or deadlines. You work well on your own and with others, are insatiably curious, have a desire to learn, develop, and contribute, and have a great sense of humour!

 

What you’ll be doing:

–        Prepare annuity quotations, primarily through the use of various software systems.

–        Compile, examine and analyze rate information.

–        Verify all outgoing correspondence, valuations and proposals are technically, numerically, and grammatically correct.

–        Verify impairment ratings and ensure all annuity quotations are prepared correctly.

–        Prepare year end and other periodic OSFI valuations for various external clients.

–        Participate in training activities to gain additional knowledge and experience.

–        Other projects and duties as assigned.

 

What you bring to McKellar:

–        Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

–        Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

–        Extremely accurate, focused, attentive to detail, and efficient in completing tasks.

–        Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet and exceed deadlines on communal workflow.

–        Possess excellent time management skills in prioritizing and meeting multiple deadlines.

–        Computer proficiency; skilled in Word and Excel; ability to learn new programs and custom databases.

–        Highly motivated and dedicated and have a strong desire to learn and increase your knowledge base and skill set.

–        Ability to solve mathematical and logical problems and to think creatively.

–        Have excellent interpersonal skills to handle internal and external contacts in a professional manner.

 

 

Nice to Have:

–        Experience in the legal, financial, or insurance industries.

–        Advanced skills in Excel.

–        French fluency.

–        Any certificate, designation, award, or achievement that demonstrates a quantitative ability, an ability to think critically, or an ability to write and/or edit.

Compensation: $50,000.00 DOE
