Compensation: $23–$30/hour (based on education, experience, and scope of role)

Position Overview
Pathway Life Church is a growing and vibrant church community that sees youth ministry as a key driver of both present impact and future growth. We are seeking a passionate, capable leader to serve as our Youth Director or Youth Pastor, depending on experience, training, and gifting.

This role is centered on leading a thriving youth ministry of 75+ students weekly, while also offering the opportunity—based on the candidate’s strengths—to contribute more broadly to the life and leadership of the church.

The position is based on 32 hours per week, but is flexible up to 40 hours/week for the right candidate who has both experience and a post secondary education in ministry.  The right candidate may have the potential for expanded responsibilities in areas such as teaching, discipleship, or other pastoral leadership areas.

Key Responsibilities
Youth Ministry Leadership

Lead and oversee a dynamic youth ministry
Build meaningful relationships with small group leaders
Plan and lead weekly Wednesday night gatherings, including teaching
Create environments where students are encouraged to grow deeper in their faith

Teaching & Communication

Regularly teach and communicate in youth settings
Opportunity to occasionally teach during Sunday services, depending on gifting and experience

Volunteer & Leadership Development

Recruit, train, and develop a strong team of adult and student leaders
Provide ongoing coaching, care, and leadership to your team

Events & Programming

Plan and execute large-scale youth events, retreats, and special initiatives
Ensure excellence in organization, safety, and spiritual impact

Qualifications & Requirements

Experience leading a ministry in Canada (required)
Biblical education or theological training (preferred)
Proven experience working with youth and leading teams
Strong communication and public speaking abilities
Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills
Ability to connect relationally with students, parents, and volunteers
A growing and authentic personal faith
