An opportunity for a student who is passionate and committed to working in multi-media
production and programming designed for children and youth in order to gain hands-on
experience.

Production Intern for Children’s Program Team, which coordinates multiple initiatives for
children 4-11 years old. CityKidz exists to encourage at-risk children and youth to increase
resiliency, inspire dreams by providing inspirational experiences and nurturing personal
relationships.
Primary Responsibilities:
• The Production Intern is required to attend each Saturday Program to offer support to the
implementation of programming.
• Working alongside the Coordinator of Children’s Programs, the Production Intern is
required to prepare digital assets and physical assets to support the CityKidz curriculum
and programming.
• The Production Intern is responsible for assisting with preparation for a Saturday
Program (i.e. Theatre setup, backstage preparations, prop collection, etc)
• During the week, the Production Intern will support the creation of assets and filming for
Saturday Programming and BigRedBus Online.

• Communication and Administrative Capacity – detail oriented, organized, professional,
time management, intermediate creative writing skills.
• Integrity and commitment to the CityKidz mission.

Screening:
• Two (2) personal references and a current Police Background Check
(Police checks must be updated every 3 years).
• Interview with Coordinator of Children’s Programs
• Approval by the Manger of Programs.
• CityKidz Volunteer Application.

Availability Preference: 2-3 days in the office per week. Saturday programming during program
season.

Training:
• Training in creative processes and asset creation
• Yearly Child Abuse Awareness and Protection refresher training.

Working Conditions: Interns work out of the CityKidz Offices, The CityKidz Theatre, the
CityKidz Volunteer Center. Both indoor and outdoor settings. Must have the ability to access the
buses and move around in the theatre.

Supervision & Feedback: Production Interns are accountable to Coordinator of Children’s
Programs.
