ON-CAMPUS SUMMER EMPLOYMENT JOB POSTING TITLE: Housekeeper Description: Reporting to the Housekeeping Supervisor you will learn to use tools and equipment to help you to clean dorms, the Recreation Centre, laundry rooms, and do laundering and folding of bedding, sheets, etc. You will also develop communication and interpersonal skills in this position while working with and interacting with coworkers, guests and other staff. This is a full-time position working 37.5 hours per week from the end of April to the end of August. Training and work begins in the last week of April. Description of Responsibilities: Washing and disinfecting all walls, windows & touchpoints. Cleaning, disinfecting all appliances, sinks, cupboards, drawers, counters. Cleaning, disinfecting all tubs, showers, sinks & toilets. Remove tape, sticky tac and marks from walls. Clean and disinfect all dorm furniture. Vacuum out floor vents and exhaust fans. Vacuum all floors. Sweep & power wash porches. Clean all blue bins and garbage bins. Stock dorms with necessary supplies. Move desks, mattresses, beds, tables, chairs, etc. Set up Recreation Centre and other areas for conferences, etc. Report damage. Other duties as assigned similar in scope and nature. Qualifications: Housekeeping and/or custodial experience preferred but not required Health and Safety training required Other requirements: An Understanding of Redeemer University College: mission, values, and Reformed Christian identity Must be able to lift and move desks, tables, chairs, beds, mattresses, couches, etc. Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
