Redeemer's Career Centre
Redeemer’s Career Centre is looking for up to 6 students who are interested in helping students engage with their career possibilities and preparing for what’s after Redeemer. The experience is very rewarding to support students as they improve their resumes, and pointing students towards the services and resources offered through the Career Centre.
Peer Career Coaches are expected to:
- Complete Job Ready Module #2: Resume Writing – to understand resume formatting and accomplishment statements. If you completed INT 101 in preparation an internship or completed the Co-op prep class, you have already met this requirement.
- Attend a 45-minute training session on how to provide constructive resume feedback
- Engage fellow students at one or more career events (minimum 1 hour per term)
- Establish 2-3 hours of availability per week (Jan 6-Feb 14 ONLY) for students to book 30-minute resume reviews. Availability can be in-person, virtual, or hybrid. Note: typically less than 10 hours are booked total over the 6-week period
- NEW in 2024-25: Participate in a monthly vocational learning circle for your own career development (October – April). The Learning Circle is a community of students who want to be intentional about moving towards God’s calling in our lives. Meetings are facilitated by the Career Centre staff, but driven primarily by students’ collective experiences, questions, and goals.
- Share about Career Centre resources, events, and services to classmates, friends, housemates, etc.
