About The Studio: The Studio is a student-run media production company that connects Redeemer students with real-life opportunities to gain practical experience in video production, video editing, and other types of media content production. Students work as subcontractors for The Studio as part of a “creative roster”. The Business Manager serves as the go-between for clients and the student creatives, supervised by the Director of the Innovation Center.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Management
- Arrange preliminary sales meetings
- Facilitate introductory meetings between student creatives and clients.
- Ensure agreed-upon deadlines are met by both parties.
- Be available for client support as needed
Subcontractor Management:
- Work with the roster of student creatives to prepare them for projects.
- Monitor deadlines to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Provide support to students as needed.
Financial Management:
- Ensure proper processing of payments from clients and to subcontractors by the accounting department.
- Follow up with clients, students, and the accounting department as needed.
Marketing Coordination:
- Support the implementation of marketing plan items.
- Monitor performance and adjust priorities as needed.
Administration:
- Ensure contracts and other documents are organized and up-to-date.
- Review documents as needed.
Required Qualifications:
Strong organizational and time management skills
Interpersonal and leadership skills
Excellent communication skills
Strong familiarity with Google Drive
Familiarity with Microsoft Excel
Preferred Qualifications:
Sales experience
Customer service experience
Project management experience with tight deadlines
Strong Excel skills
