The Makerspace

The Makerspace is looking for a creative, hardworking student who is great at taking initiative, is self-motivated, and likes learning and playing with new technology!

We’re hiring one student worker for Summer 2024 to work on a variety of administrative, programming, and technical tasks within the Makerspace, to prepare for the 23/24 academic year. You will have the opportunity to learn more about multiple pieces of equipment, flex your creative muscles, and work on a variety of projects.

Tasks and Responsibilities 

  • Develop various programs, including building infrastructure and curriculum for workshops, outreach events, and tutorials
  • Create content to market the Makerspace to the Redeemer community during the academic year, including posters, social media posts, video and photo assets. 
  • Assist with tasks related to the general operations of the Makerspace, as per the discretion of the Academic Program Manager.
  • Assist in the creation of the Makerspace UStore. 
  • Perform maintenance and development tasks for current Makerspace equipment, including creating SOPs, recommending material, and developing user guides

Hours: 37.5 hours per week. Beginning and end dates can be negotiated upon hiring.
