ASSISTANT EDITOR/ANIMATOR

 

Department: Media & Communications

Reports to:  Producer & Media Manager

Direct Reports:  N/A

Status: Full-time, Summer Intern (1 position) – 16 weeks TBC

 

 

POSITION OVERVIEW:

 

The Assistant Editor/Animator will assist in the editing and creation of video and animated elements for online, live gatherings and TV broadcast use.

 

 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Sunday Services

Edit Sunday service elements, including opening/closing comments and one-off videos
Support and participate in Sunday Media team (camera operator, switcher, production assistant)
Manage media recorded during Sunday services and package Sunday sermon content for transcription and Paper Edit
 

Living Truth Television

Edit sermon, music and stand-ups, along with show assembly and closed captioning
Living Truth show delivery
 

Projects

Animated graphics creation
Yearly branding updates
Media asset management (uploading media, tagging, logging metadata)
Social media video/animation creation
Other duties as assigned
 

Team

Participate in team meetings
Participate in 1-1 meetings with supervisor

 

 

Qualifications:

1+ year of media, communications, editing, animation, producing, video production experience or field of study
Experienced with Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Media Encoder, Audition etc)
DEMO REEL/PORTFOLIO – we’d love to see your creativity in action
Between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive) at the start of employment;
A Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act* and;
Legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial / territorial legislation and regulations.
 

 

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Mostly in-office with possibility of some remote work
Sundays required
Vulnerable Sector clearance required
Support and understand Shared mandate and Statement of Faith
Interacts with others (volunteers, staff, member) regularly
