Academic Mentors and Program Facilitators

We are looking for academic mentors and program facilitators to help us run our N.E.S.T. Program (Newcomer Students’ Endeavours to Succeed and Thrive). This is a free after-school program that aims to support newcomer children and youth through academic, social, and recreational activities. This program is delivered once a week, from 3 pm to 6 pm at our 573 Concession St., Hamilton ON location. For academic mentors, we are looking for student volunteers who can help newcomers with schoolwork in Math, English, Science, and provide language training to help them learn and improve their English. For program facilitators, we are looking for student volunteers who can help facilitate social and recreational sessions for the participants (sports, arts & crafts, music, dance, coding, etc.).
