Position Overview
Coding will primarily involve the use of scratch to introduce and help students understands the basics of coding. 3D Design uses Tinkercad to design projects and students will receive prints of some of their designs. Robotics classes will utilize Lego We Do for younger/beginner groups and Lego Mindstorms (EV3’s) for advanced students.

March Break Camp Details:
Our March Break Camps run weekly from March 13th to March 17th & March 20th – March 24th from 8:30 am-4:30 pm.

Summer Camp Details
Our Summer Break Camps run weekly from June 26th to September 1st from 8:30 am-4:30 pm.

Ideal Candidate:

Experience with Lego EV3, and Lego We Do, Tinkercad, Scracth
3D printing and design experience
Willingness to learn
Passion for developing and, expanding student knowledge in STEM fields
CPR – First Aid certified an asset (you may be required to be certified within 1 month of hiring)
Successful Vulnerable Sector Check
Has a valid G license and or access to a vehicle of their own

Specific Responsibilities:

Lead classes with six to twenty students
Actively guide students towards completing the assigned project
Classroom management
Advance student knowledge following curriculum
Lesson plan development, and ability to follow lesson plans
Room setup and organization
Motivate and engage students
Communicating clear instructions and guiding a team of younger instructors
Willing to develop Robotics curriculum

Qualifications:

Knowledge in software programming – graphical, HTML, and/or C language an asset
Experience teaching students ages 6 to 16
Good classroom management skills

Job Types: Part-time, Casual, Freelance
Pay: $500.00-$600.00 per week

Schedule: Evening shift
